Out-of-state adoption fees include a transport fee, unless you are traveling to Houston to pick up your dog.
We offer transport to most United States locations! Fill out our Adoption Application using the link below to apply!

When bringing home a rescue dog, it’s normal to see adjustment behaviors during the first days or weeks. Some dogs may be just fine and adjust quickly, while others may appear shy, nervous, quiet, or withdrawn, or may seem overly excited or anxious. Common behaviors can include hiding, pacing, accidents in the house, excessive sleeping, barking, lack of appetite, or clinginess. Each dog has a story, and some stories may be more traumatic than others involving abuse or neglect.
As your dog begins to feel safe and comfortable, their true personality will gradually emerge.
*Patience, consistency, and a calm environment help build trust and make the transition smoother for both you and your new companion.
A foster-based rescue matters because dogs are living in homes instead of kennels, giving them the opportunity to decompress in a lower-stress, more comfortable environment.
By observing the dogs in real household situations, foster caregivers can provide more accurate and detailed adoption profiles, helping create stronger adoption matches between dogs and potential adopters.
