Sunnyside Street Dogs hosts Houston dog adoption events, fundraising events, and community outreach events throughout the Houston area where you can meet our adoptable rescue dogs. Our events help raise awareness about Houston’s stray dog crisis while connecting rescue dogs with potential adopters, foster homes, and supportive community members who want to make a difference through adoption, fostering, volunteering and responsible pet ownership.

There are many ways to donate to our shelter! You can donate online through our website, our Meta Facebook page or meet us at the event to donate directly. We are always in need of food, kennel training pads, blankets, and other supplies.
No, we do not adopt out directly at the events. Our process starts with the application. It includes a reference check for a vet or other reference and a facetime home check. We want to ensure these dogs that have gone through hardship and tragedy are in the best possible situation. We are always in need of foster homes for animals who are not yet ready for adoption or are still waiting for adoption. If you are interested in adopting or fostering an animal, please fill out a foster application at our event, or on our website. We provide fosters, all necessary supplies and medical care for the animal.
