ADOPTION 

What's Included
Your adoption fee is a donation to the rescue to help us continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need.  The fee covers the cost of vaccinations, spay/neuter, and other essentials used during the rescue and rehabilitation of the dog you are applying for.

Out of state adoption fees include a transport fee, unless you are traveling to Houston to pick up your dog.

We offer transport to most United States locations! Fill out our Adoption Application using the link below to apply! 

Fee Rates

Adult Dogs: Starting at $300 in-state / $550 out-of-state

Puppies & Small Breeds: Starting at $500 in-state / $750 out-of-state

         * Certain breeds or dogs with higher demand may have higher adoption fees.

These fees help offset the cost of rescuing and rehabilitating other street dogs in our care, especially those with medical emergencies or special needs.

Puppies

Puppies over the age of 4 months will be spayed/neutered before adoption. 

Puppies under the age of 4 months may be adopted & transported. 

Adopters in & around Houston will bring their dog to the rescue's veterinarian to be spayed/neutered when the dog is of age.

*Adopters outside of Houston, Tx will sign an alteration contract that will be followed up on when the dog turns 6 months old. 

FOSTERING 

What is involved?

Local Houston area fosters take rescue dogs to vet appointments at the pre-approved vets & Sunnyside Street Dog Rescue provides all approved healthcare, any necessary supplies and preventive mediations.    

Fosters do Facetime meet & greets with potential adopters and bring their rescue to adoption events.  

Out of State! We have foster options for fosters out of state.  Fill out our Foster Application to apply!
